Lisa Nynaed is a Torilian scientist and engineer in service to the ATAF, as well as to Valin Arkanian's private research troupe. First exposed to extra-Torilian technology in 1371 at the site of Castle Ashanath, her natural gifts allowed her to quickly master the alien concepts, and put the facilities beneath the site to work, effectively reviving the 4,000-year-old legacy of Imaskar.
As part of the Magister's following, she directed the Red Star and White Star programs, producing the first Torilian-made spacecraft since the Old Kingdom of Imaskar. When the combined fleets of the Akh'Sildar, the Veldir Expeditionary Force, and the Seven Star Fleet were transported out of the galaxy, she became an instrumental figure and confidant to then Fleet Admiral Kirilar Moonflower, who needed her skills, and those of her hand-picked colleagues, to expand on the fleet's technology so as to make it possible to return home.
She was also instrumental in reconditioning the ancient Imaskari kuon shee project: an artificial lifeform made of pure energy. The kuon shee, or Luma as she has come to be known, has become a productive member of society and a valuable ally of the ATAF.

- Crescent of the Seldarine: The ATAF's highest honor, for meritorious service in the defense of ATAF and Abeir-Toril, for taking on a successful and highly dangerous mission to a distant galaxy, which led to profound revelations as to the nature of life in the Universe.
